Over the years, our faces change. Perhaps you've also noticed that your bite has changed?
Quite often, changes to your teeth and bite will directly influence the way your face looks. For example when there is 'collapse' of the lower third of your face due to changes in your teeth and fillings, this causes more lines and wrinkles around your lips and mouth.
A minor or major 'collapse' may also influence your jaw joints as well as other teeth and fillings. It may also impact your ability to breathe and hence, sleep well at night. A 'collapse' doesn't usually happen overnight, but over many years, even while under the care of your dentist. However, in some cases, a 'collapse' may occur at a very young age and it has simply worsened over time.
These changes are not going to be resolved by a simple set of veneers.
Thankfully my clients are receptive to achieving more than just straight teeth, or a refreshed look, they want a comfortable biting position, to look younger, and to ensure their best dental health looking forward. This is where a Dental Facelift aka Dental Rejuvenation comes in.
A well planned and executed Dental Facelift provides a stable foundation for your teeth, jaw and face that will continue to serve you for decades to come.
A Dental Facelift provides a form of dental work that considers not only your appearance, but also the stability of your teeth, fillings and jaw joints, to the advantage of your greater long term health.
It Improves the comfort of your bite.
Visible Cosmetic benefits. Helping to reduce or prevent wrinkles and lines around your lower face, while refreshing the look of your smile.
Helps relieve pain associated with jaw and bite issues.
Improves your airways and quality of sleep.
No traditional, invasive surgery needed.
Provides stability for your teeth and fillings, for the long term.
A Smile Makeover will often involve one or more cosmetic dental treatments. This may include Teeth whitening, Veneers, Cosmetic Bonding, Invisalign (teeth straightening), Gum Lifts, or a variety of other treatment options that I offer. The final aim of a smile makeover is for you to feel more confident, empowered and happy about your smile.
A Smile Makeover is generally suitable when your teeth are in good position, your bite is comfortable and working efficiently, and you are without any aches and pains.
A Dental Facelift, on the other hand, requires careful consideration of your jaw position and bite, and uses conservative dental techniques to provide support for your face and joints, while strengthening your teeth and old dental work. We then overlay Cosmetic dental treatments, usually at the same time, to make sure it all looks great too.
I am trained to provide both of these treatments, so let's have a chat to understand what's most appropriate for you and your long term aesthetic and health goals.
You may have some idea of what you need, or you may need more extensive guidance. My AIDE process ensures we craft a solution that is sympathetic to your finances, time and long term goals.
We talk about what you would like to achieve, both now and in the future. I then share my philosophies and expertise. This is about ensuring we’re a good fit for a positive client-clinician relationship.
I carefully assess your dental health and ask a series of questions to analyse the implications on your overall health and wellbeing. This includes an intraoral soft tissue examination. I align what you want with what you need.
Together we design a tailored treatment plan. Irrespective of the scale of treatment or time frame, this step is crucial for long term success.
I meticulously implement our agreed plan to ensure you look, but more importantly feel, your absolute best.
Over the years I have worked with a diverse range of clients to achieve their aesthetic goals and improve their quality of life.View my results
Looking at me now you’d never guess that I initially pursued a career in finance. After completing a commerce degree at The University of New South Wales, I realised a life of spreadsheets just wasn’t for me. I wanted a career where I could use my hands. I wanted to push the boundaries of innovation and creativity. I wanted to help people achieve a better quality of life. A career in reconstructive dentistry has allowed me to do all that, and so much more.
Since 2008, I have taken immense pride in designing progressive dental solutions tailored to my clients’ individual needs. My meticulously executed designs focus on elevating people’s confidence, self-expression and long term health.
I consider it a privilege to develop ongoing relationships with my clients and bear witness to their transformations over time. I’ve seen people go from awkwardly holding their hands over their mouths when they smile to counting down the days to a big social event. Watching someone’s self-worth flourish, and knowing I’ve played a role in it, is more rewarding than I could’ve ever imagined.
Never one to rest on my laurels, I am continuously investigating global innovations in reconstructive dentistry to ensure my services are minimally invasive while achieving maximum impact.
Dr David Cipriani is a reconstructive and cosmetic dentist, but he much prefers the term ‘dental artisan’ because it encapsulates his enduring love for the art of dental design.
After initially completing a commerce degree, David found his true calling in dentistry. A dental qualification at The University of Sydney led to post-graduate studies with Kings College London where David affirmed his skillset in cosmetic and reconstructive care. As a progressive generalist dentist, David’s expertise has been sought by some of Sydney’s most reputable clinics where he has partnered with clients to not only achieve their aesthetic goals but improve their quality of life.
